The Company

Duotec Medical GmbH was founded in the late 1990s.
At this time, new energetic systems were being introduced on an almost monthly basis, some of which were non-invasive or fractionated-ablative and replaced several aesthetic-surgical techniques. One example is dermabrasion using a high-speed grinding head which was then replaced by the ablative CO2 laser. In order to further reduce downtime for patients, this was followed a few years later by fractionated-ablative CO2 and Er:Yag lasers.

The company name of Duotec was chosen by the founders because the new combinations of energetic technologies and different medical specialties became its mission. Since this time, these technologies have undergone rapid success and now form an integral part of clinics and clinical practices.

Market Development

Since the turn of the millennium, the boundaries between aesthetic surgery and aesthetic medicine, which are based on energetic systems, have been fluid. Dermatologists today offer fractional-ablative procedures and non-invasive, energetic treatments which became established on the market within a very short period of time. Plastic surgeons are now able to choose from a variety of minimally invasive technologies, which as much as possible prevent massive cuts and scars and still achieve perfect results.
The periods of inactivity after aesthetic procedures become shorter and they produce less and less side-effects.
The enormous growth rates of case numbers of soft aesthetic surgery and non-invasive or minimally-invasive aesthetic medicine confirm this worldwide trend in Europe as well.

Aesthetic Regenerative Medicine

In the last five years, the fields of aesthetic surgery and aesthetic medicine already described have been supplemented by a new field, "aesthetic regenerative medicine", as it is called. The aim here is systemic regeneration using targeted oral or trans-dermal administration of specific substances and simultaneous local stimulation of increased regeneration in areas of the body zones where the degeneration of the extracellular matrix is already further advanced. In the most comprehensive case, systemic regeneration can now be combined with local amplification measures (for example, non-invasive, aesthetic medicine) and gentle surgical measures (for example, 3D thermal sub-cutaneous tightening) and the effects can be enhanced by the local application of growth factors (PRP) and/or mesenchymal stem cells (nano-fat transfer). Specialists in dermatology, plastic surgery, orthopaedics, gynaecology, ENT and oral and maxillo-facial surgery are already benefiting from these new techniques. Scientific publications in the USA, Asia and Europe show impressive results and promise further rapid development of this trend into the future.

The PEPTICEL Concept

The development of PEPTICEL is the basis for combining aesthetic surgery, aesthetic medicine and regenerative aesthetic medicine.

Each regeneration activity on the extracellular matrix (for example, the collagen skin fibres, the cartilage tissue of the joints, the synapse system in the brain) presupposes that sufficient micro-nutrients are present in bio-active form and in the desired areas of the body. In addition, surplus energy is required in the mitochondria so that the cells involved in the regeneration can achieve the performance surplus. Last but not least, it is these cells themselves which have to be kept young and divisible in order to keep these regeneration processes active in the future. The maximum regeneration is then systemically guaranteed if these conditions are met.

Nevertheless, a shortfall, as it is called, remains in areas in which there has previously been a stronger local degeneration of the extracellular matrix for various reasons.
Examples of these are:
Light ageing of the skin in areas exposed to the sun, knee or shoulder joints which are over-strained by competitive sports or sports injuries, damage to the synaptic system in the brain due to alcohol, drug consumption or stress, damage to the collagen and elastin fibre networks of the blood vessels due to stress, incorrect nutrition and high blood pressure and many more.

The body needs a dramatic increase in regenerative measures in these areas, including additional medical or surgical treatments. This applies to the achievement of both aesthetic and medical goals.

Local bundling of regenerative action mechanisms

This stimulation of increased regeneration activity by specific cells on the extracellular matrix is only required locally.
PEPTICEL optimises the regeneration systemically, that is, throughout the entire organism. The required micro-nutrients, the extra energy and maintaining the youthfulness of the cells involved in the regeneration process are therefore ensured.
If, for example, the wound healing effects of the facial skin are additionally stimulated by fractionated skin ablation, then a dramatic local increase in skin regeneration will take place. A clear thickening of the dermis and epidermis is already apparent after 4-6 weeks and this also remains thick for a long time. If additional PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is used, studies which have already been published show an increase in dermal adipocytes and a collagen neo-genesis after approx. 5-6 months. A comprehensive and synergistic local regeneration process is set in motion. Regeneration then begins in the months after the treatment and maximises itself. It is advisable to supply the body with PEPTICEL during this period so that this process does not stop or slow down.
Examples for different material structures, which are always subject to the same regeneration process but the respective cells which process them are different:
The scalp hair, the cartilage tissue in the joints, the collagen fibre skin tissue (dermal and subcutaneous), fingernails and toenails, the synaptic system in the brain and the collagen and elastin network in the vascular walls.

Implementation of the PEPTICEL Concept

A doctor who wants to offer the PEPTICEL concept in his / her practice firstly needs a PEPTICEL presentation box (10 monthly packs of 60 capsules each) and the marketing starter kit.

PEPTICEL (2 capsules daily before breakfast on an empty stomach with a glass of lukewarm water) should be taken for at least a period of 3 months.
If the attending physician uses a local regeneration enhancer such as, for example, needling in combination with PRP, fractional laser ablation or RF ablation, the patient should start taking PEPTICEL approximately 1 month before treatment and continue taking it for up to 3 months after treatment.

Some of the patients will stop taking it later and possibly repeat the PEPTICEL treatment the following year. Others will continue take PEPTICEL for the rest of their lives, depending on a patient's personal experience and financial situation.

A patient survey carried out in Germany showed that patients reported improved joint function and a reduction of pain in the joints after about 8-15 days of starting the treatment with PEPTICEL. The visible and noticeable improvement of the skin appearance, on the other hand, occurs a little later, after 30-45 days. Increased brain power and improved thought processes will also become apparent in the second month of use. It is therefore always recommended to take PEPTICEL for at least 3 months. In combination with treatments to increase local regeneration, it is probable that the PEPTICEL treatment will need to be continued for more than 4 months, as it has to be started one month before the first surgical or medical local regeneration treatment. Of course, it is also possible to continue taking PEPTICEL as long as the patient's financial circumstances allow this.

Important Information:

The bio-active peptides and micronutrients from PEPTICEL are compatible with one another, of high quality and correspondingly expensive. It is pointless to consume inexpensive collagen drinks, as these are decomposed by gastric acid or are produced using a cheap thermal powder preparation and longer have a biological function. This means that the expensive peptides must reach the small intestine unharmed in bio-active form and continue to be usable by the body.

PEPTICEL is administered in doped capsules which only dissolve once they reach the small intestine. In addition, the bio-active PEPTIDEs are conceptually coordinated in such a way that the desired synergies are achieved both in the cells and in the extracellular matrix. In addition, they cover the additional demand for energy in the mitochondria. If the conceptual mix of PEPTICEL were only slightly changed, this could weaken, or even break, the entire chain of effects. It is therefore important to take the capsules regularly for the entire period agreed with your doctor.
